THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS LIFTED BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT FOR SOUTHEAST WYOMING AND THE CHEYENNE AREA., BUTE CONTINUE TO EXPECT STRONG GUST WINDS AND THEY HAVE NOW POSTED THIS SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT..AREA WEATHER OBSERVATIONS ARE REPORTING WIDESPREAD STRONG NORTHERLY WINDS EAST OF THE LARAMIE RANGE AND OUT IN THE SOUTHERN NEBRASKA PANHANDLE. AT CHEYENNE...WIND GUSTS TO 49 MPH ARE BEING REPORTED...44 MPH AT BORDEAUX...43 MPH AT PINE BLUFF...57 MPH AT WYO HILL JUST SOUTH OF CHEYENNE. IN THE PANHANDLE...53 MPH GUSTS ARE BEING REPORTED AT HARRISBURG...35 MPH AT KIMBALL AND SCOTTSBLUFF. EXPECT THESE WINDS DECREASE SLOWLY THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE AFTERNOON AND DECREASE SIGNIFICANTLY AFTER SUNSET. PERSONS TRAVELING ON INTERSTATE 80 OR OTHER WEST TO EAST ORIENTED ROADS SHOULD BE READY FOR SUDDEN CROSS WINDS THAT COULD FORCE YOUR VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD.
