The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is asking black bear hunters to take a few minutes and participate in the harvest survey now underway for the 2013 black bear season.

Spokesman Al Langston says nearly 4,000 surveys have been mailed to both resident and non-resident hunters who held 2013 bear licenses. The survey provides website and password information for hunters to complete the survey online.

Langston says the survey is an important tool for the Game and Fish to estimate harvest, hunter success, and provides information to help wildlife managers plan next year’s hunting season. He says it is important for all surveys to be completed even if the hunter was unsuccessful or did not go hunting.
