JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — Wildlife officials have euthanized a black bear that broke into a home with her cub near Hoback Junction south of Grand Teton National Park.

Wyoming Game and Fish Department spokesman Mark Gocke says officials decided to euthanize the bear Monday because it exhibited "very bold behavior" in breaking into the home Sunday afternoon.

The bear and her cub entered the home by crashing through a screen door.

Bear sightings and run-ins with humans are more common this time of year as the animals look for food to prepare for hibernation. Game and Fish officials say they're getting 12 to 15 daily reports of bear sightings.
