Jeff Wiggins, a City of Cheyenne representative who serves on the Bike to Work Week committee, expressed the positive impact on awareness as a result of the event.

“Bike to Work Week promotes bicycling as a safe, cheap and environmentally friendly way to travel. Through visibility, it also raises the mutual awareness of bicyclists and motorists. It helps normalize the image of bicycling as a safe and normal everyday activity, which in turn increases safety for all roadway users,” Wiggins said.

Warren Federal Credit Union has hosted and participated in Bike to Work Week events for the last 15 years.

“We support and encourage our community to be involved both physically and financially in local celebrations and events,” said Michele Bolkovatz, a member of the Bike to Work Week committee. “We believe in collaborating and working together to make our community a better place to live, work and play!”
