Officials from the City of Cheyenne will discuss the Carey Avenue Bike Lane Project during a meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30 at the Kiwanis Community House in Lions Park.
"We're planning to talk about some of the master planning and what we've identified as high priority projects," said Assistant City Engineer Nathan Beauheim.  "Specifically why this corridor in particular was selected versus alternative corridors."
Beauheim says they're also looking at making some modifications to the design to address some of the complaints they've received.
"The basic problem we're running into on Carey is simply that the street is not wide enough for much of the length in order to provide on-street parking on both sides and provide the necessary bicycle and vehicular lane," said Beauheim.  "The only way we can accommodate all the movements is by removing parking on one side or the other."
Beauheim encourages anyone who has concerns or complaints about the project to attend the meeting and express their opinions.
