Almost a quarter of the registered voters in Laramie County have voted in the Atrium of the Laramie County Governmental Building for the 2016 General Election, according to Laramie County Clerk Debra Lee.

She says over 8000, had voted as of the end of business on Friday, October 28. That represents 23 percent of the registered voters in the county, according to Lee.

A record 689 of those people cast ballots in the Atrium of the Laramie County Governmental Complex on Friday, Oct. 28. Another 2,257 people have received absentee ballots for the election, with 98 percent of those ballots having been returned to the clerk's office.

There are still six days left to vote in the Atrium, with the last day being Monday, Nov. 7. The site is open Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4;45 p.m. people registering to vote at the polls must bring a government-issued photo ID.
