A bicyclist is dead following an accident north of Sheridan over the weekend.

Wyoming Highway Patrol Sgt. Stephen Townsend says the unidentified bicyclist died after colliding with a pickup truck about 4 miles north of Sheridan on Highway 338 on Sunday morning. The report says that the bicyclist pulled in front of a northbound Ford pickup driven by a Billings, Mont., man.

The Highway Patrol says the bicyclist wasn't carrying any form of identification and still remains unidentified. They say the man was riding a Schwinn Alumalight bicycle and appears to have been in his 50s or 60s. The patrol believes the man may be from the Sheridan area because he wasn't carrying any belongings with him.
