As many of you are, Better Wyoming is not happy about Governor Matt Mead giving nice pay raises to his staff in the midst of an economic downturn. They want to hear from you.

Recently, Gov. Mead spoke in front of some people stating that the layoffs from miners in the Cowboy State was a "gut shot", however it must not be all that bad.

But it doesn't stop with her. Mead's deputy chief of staff, Tony Young, got in on the action also and has received over $18,000 in pay raises in the last two years. Not to mention other staff members receiving raises in Mead's office as well.

Mead made a statement during a recent interview, "If you look at the salaries, of the people in this office, corresponding with the job that I see them do, and the work they put in, I think that as I look at other salaries in the state government, I think they're appropriate salaries."

It's good to know that Mead has the hardest working employees in state government that deserve a $30,000 raise, while other agency heads are cutting their budgets to make the state work over all.

Not only were the miners getting laid off a "shot to the gut", but also a "shot to the pocket" of the Wyoming taxpayers. Many feel that the governor doesn't have his priorities right in the midst of budget cuts and layoffs around the state.

This also increases his staff's retirement monies, which puts another financial burden on Wyoming.

So a group called, "Better Wyoming" wants to hear from you. You have a voice, so use it. Simply click here and let the governor know what you think about his generous gift to those hard working employees of his.

If you are outraged, as many in Wyoming are, let the governor know what you think. That is your right to do so, so take advantage of it while you can.
