State Superintendent of Public Instruction JIllian Balow says the goal of science education in Wyoming schools should be to make students "consumers of science".

She says that includes teaching students how to think about science and presenting both sides of controversial subjects.

Balow goes on to say "theories should be presented as theories and facts as facts". Balow says she thinks such an approach will serve Wyoming well over the long term.
