Someone fired several shots into a home north of Casper recently, likely targeting the family inside.

Sgt. Aaron Shatto of the Natrona County Sheriff's Office said in a phone interview Monday morning that deputies responded to a home north of Casper on Saturday for a report of shots fired.

Several rounds were fired into the home in question. No one was injured, Shatto said, adding that it was likely an isolated incident.

Investigators believe the family inside the home was most likely the target of the shooting, Shatto said.

A person of interest in the case has been identified, and investigators were trying to locate that person as of Monday morning.

No further details were immediately available.
