Cheyenne Art Corner Co-Op Hosts Grand Opening September 26-28

Are you a local artist looking for a place to display your work?

The Art Corner Co-Op opens to the public with a three-day grand opening event from September 26th through 28th at 1726 Capitol Avenue. The co-op is open to all adult artists in Wyoming and is working to strengthen the diverse and thriving artists community across the state.

Colorado Flood Highway Update; Part of Interstate 25 Reopens

Have you come across any closed roads? The heavy rain and flooding has closed many roads and highways across Colorado and Wyoming.

A portion of Interstate 25 reopened about 7:30 p.m. on Friday, September 13, between Harmony Road and Denver both directions are now open. I-25 southbound from Cheyenne to Harmony Road near Ft Collins remains closed. There is no estimated time of reopening for the final section of highway, from Wyoming to Ft Collins, which is still being threatened by flood waters.

Could you hear Cheyenne's Outdoor Warning Sirens if there was a tornado?

You'll find out on Friday, September 6, at noon when the Cheyenne and Laramie County Emergency Management Agency tests the warning sirens. The system will sound a steady signal for about 1 to 3 minutes.

Cheyenne Refinery Smoke Due to Power Outage, Shutdown and Startup

Have you seen the smoke rising from Cheyenne's refinery?

We've received a lot of calls about the black and yellow-green smoke coming out of the Holly Frontier Refinery in Cheyenne on Tuesday, September 3, afternoon. Amy Richards called Kevin Burke, the refinery spokesman, and he said they had a power outage and had to shut down.
