The Arch Coal Foundation kicked off its Teacher Achievement Awards Program Monday in Wyoming, according to Greg Schaefer, Arch Coal, Inc. vice president of external affairs, western region.

It is the fifteenth year for the program, the longest running, privately sponsored teacher recognition program in the state.

The Arch Coal Teacher Achievement Awards Program provides 10 recipients with a $3,500 personal cash award as well as widespread recognition. Program nominations, which can be made online at archteacherawards.com, will close Jan. 5, 2015.

The Arch Coal Teacher Achievement Awards is supported in program promotion by the Office of the Governor, Wyoming Department of Education, the Wyoming Library Community, the Wyoming Education Association, Taco John’s and Loaf ‘N Jug.
