Another Big Winter Storm Takes Aim On Wyoming

Winter storm warnings and advisories have been posted over a large area of Wyoming for the second week in a row.

Cheyenne seems to be the bulls eye for the latest spring storm to hit the Cowboy State with a winter storm warning in effect until 6pm Tuesday.

THE WINTER STORM WARNING IS NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM MDT TUESDAY.

* TIMING…SNOW WILL FALL ALONG THE INTERSTATE 80 CORRIDOR AT
TIMES THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON.

* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS…8 TO 12 INCHES THROUGH TUESDAY
EVENING. ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS ARE POSSIBLE TUESDAY NIGHT
AND WEDNESDAY.

* WINDS/VISIBILITIES…EAST TO NORTHEAST WINDS BETWEEN 15 AND 25
MPH WILL PRODUCE CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW MONDAY
NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY. VISIBILITIES MAY BE REDUCED TO ONE
QUARTER MILE AT TIMES.

* IMPACTS…ROADS ARE EXPECTED TO BECOME SLICK AND SNOW COVERED.
VISIBILITIES WILL ALSO BE SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED…MAKING
TRAVEL EXTREMELY DIFFICULT.

Laramie is expecting from 8-10 inches of the white and fluffy and Casper under a winter storm advisory is expecting from 6-10 inches at the lower elevations with the higher elevations expecting anywhere from 12-16 inches of snow.

Heavy snows are expected up and down the front range affecting Ft Collins, Denver, DIA and others across Colorado, Kansas and Nebraska.
