The Cheyenne Animal Shelter is offering three more week-long ''critter camps" this summer, according to spokeswoman Kate Miller.

She says the camp is a day camp for kids between kindergarten and 5th grades. Miller says guest speakers give presentations featuring farm animals, police dogs, rabbits, therapy animals and reptiles, among others. Topics covered include animal control, working with strange animals and safe ways to handle them, animal care, spaying and neutering of pets and numerous other subjects.

Miller says the first week of critter camp is already underway, but additional camps are scheduled for the weeks of July 6, July 15 and August 5. Miller says more information and application forma are available at the animal shelter.
