Laramie, WY (AP) - Albany County Sheriff Dave O'Malley says he asked the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation to conduct an investigation into the Albany County Attorney's Office.

O'Malley said Monday he cannot discuss any further details of the matter. O'Malley says documents related to the investigation will be available once a search warrant is filed in Goshen County.

DCI deputy director Kebin Haller tells the Laramie Boomerang it's unlikely that the investigation will affect the outcome of any past or current prosecutions carried out by the Albany County Attorney's Office.
