Although not required for class credit, summer reading lists can still be a thing. Why not add this Wyoming native to your list?

As a kid, I took all of the advanced classes that I could. These typically required me to read a lot over the summer. I hated it then, but now I wish I had nothing to do for three months, but read books. Well... books that I want to read.

I started keeping a list of books I want to read in my phone knowing that I'll never make it through the list, since I'm always adding more.

There are plenty of books out there and an author for every single one. However, not all books or authors are from the great state of Wyoming. Recently PopSugar.com put together a list of "50 Authors from 50 States - Here's What to Read from Each of Them." In a way, you could take a trip across the entire United States by turning the pages of these books.

For Wyoming, they recommend C.J. Box.

C.J. was born and raised in Casper, Wyoming. He attended the University of Denver, but moved back to the Cowboy state. It's where he gets his inspriation. "Off the Grid" is a part of his Joe Pickett series and takes place in Baggs, Wyoming, like many of his books.
