Today (Monday, Nov. 6) is the last day a Laramie County voter can receive an absentee ballot for the special election on the Laramie County Community College bond issue.

Voters who want to get an absentee ballot need to go to the county clerk's office in the Laramie County Governmental Complex at 309 W. 20th Street in Cheyenne. The office will remain open until 5 p.m. today to process ballot requests.

Absentee voters will have to return their ballots by 7 p.m. Nov. 7 to have them counted. Laramie County Clerk Debra Lee says that as of Friday evening, over 1700 voters had asked for an absentee ballot, and 85 percent fo those ballots had been returned.

The bond election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 7. Lee says the same 13 vote centers that were used in the 2016 presidential election will again be available from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
