The 2013 Laramie Kennel Club Dog Show is coming to the Albany County Fairgrounds this Memorial Day weekend.

According to American Kennel Club (AKC) Dog Show Chairwomen Gale Bandsma, this year's Dog show will begin at the Albany County Fairgrounds on Sunday at 8 a.m. and conclude on Monday (Memorial Day) at 9 a.m. Bandsma says "the event will all be at the Albany County Fairgrounds where admission is free, but there will be a two dollar parking fee so bring your whole family out to the show." Bandsma says kids will get free coloring books as well. Bandsma adds "this event will give people of all ages a chance to learn about the best show dogs that this state has to offer and there will be vendors on site as well."

Bandsma states "the annual dog show has been going on for over 40 years and is just one of three dog shows in the state and this one is the largest." Bandsma says "its a confirmation dog show where 178 dogs have been registered through the AKC where they will evaluate the best breeds of dogs." Bandsma cites "the show will have various dogs such as dog pounds, boston carriers, different kinds of poodles, treewalk coonhounds, labradors, and much more."

Bandmsa wanted to reiterate because it can be confusing that "people can't bring their own dogs to the show, only registered dogs are allowed during the dog show."

The 2013 Laramie Kennel Club Dog Show will begin at the Albany County Fairgrounds on Sunday at 8 a.m. and conclude on Sunday at 9 a.m. It is free for the public to attend, but there is a $2.00 parking fee to the event.
