The Laramie County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding whoever stole thousands of dollars worth of construction equipment from Knife River.

Lt. Don Hollingshead says several of Knife River's trailers in the 4800 block of South Industrial Road were broken into between March 6 and March 13, but only one had items taken from it.

"The lock was cut off the trailer, it was entered and just shy of $20,000 worth of tools and equipment were taken," said Hollingshead.

Items taken in the burglary included a Stihl backpack blower, a Cutquik concrete saw and numerous bales of wire.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call Crime Stoppers Silent Witness at (307) 638-TIPS.

Callers will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
