GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) — The first grand jury seated in Campbell County in 31 years has indicted 15 people in connection to methamphetamine distribution.

The indictment led to the arrest of eight people in Gillette this week.

State Division of Criminal Investigation spokesman Chris McDonald says the indictments and arrests come after a year-long investigation. In addition to the 15 indicted in Campbell County, he says another 15 people were indicted federally.

The grand jury was summoned by Campbell County Attorney Ronald Wirthwein based on the nature of the cases.

The last grand jury in the county was in 1985.
