Laramie County Clerk Debra Lee says that as of Tuesday, April 11, about 1100 Laramie County voters have cast their ballots on the county's sixth-penny sales tax ballot.

Another 680 had asked for absentee ballots. Election day for the proposal is May 2, but early voting is being held Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. in the Atrium of the Laramie County Government building.

The last day to vote early is May 1. Projects totaling a little more than $118 million are proposed for funding through the sixth-penny ballot. The tax will start being collected on Oct. 1 if voters approve.
